Six-Figure Journalism Jobs for the Week Ending September 13

It’s only Wednesday but it has been a hell of  week for me, so I’m a bit delayed on getting this out the door this week!

The freelance calls for pitches are back after the holiday, while the remote-based full time work is a bit slim.

That being said, there are a LOT of location based full-time jobs on the list this week, and plus a small handful of remote opportunities with the AP, Morning Brew, The Yale Review, Men’s Journal, ESPN, The Athletic, Washington Post, LAist, the LA Times, Bloomberg, CNN, Consumer Reports, NY Times, The Wrap, and more.

Here are a couple of examples of location based full-time jobs that appear on the list this week.

The Washington Post is looking for a Power & Politics Editor (Climate & Environment) DC

The Washington Post’s Climate & Environment Department is seeking a talented journalist to lead a team of reporters who cover how some of the world’s most powerful actors shape environmental outcomes and the impacts of those decisions on people and the planet. This editor will play an essential part in pursuing our mission of providing the world’s most authoritative coverage of climate and the environment. This editor should be prepared to oversee ambitious enterprise and accountability reporting in the U.S. and abroad while also running coverage of significant news developments. We also encourage unconventional and creative approaches to reporting and storytelling. The editor’s ambition for the work should be matched by an ambition for it to be read and shared by our audience.

Editor’s Note: Pay is up to $204,000 per year.
